Chris graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 1993 with a Bachelor of Law before then completing a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies in 1994. Chris was admitted to the profession in November 1994 and has been practicing in family law since 1995.
Chris’ passion for family law derives from his compassion and empathy to assist people who suffer from the effects of relationship and marriage breakdowns as well as those who are from disadvantaged or less fortunate socioeconomic backgrounds. Chris has undertaken work as a preferred supplier for the Legal Aid Office of Queensland for over 25 years and has received recognition for the extensive assistance he has provided to this organisation. Chris has assisted numerous community organisations on a pro bono basis including the Mackay Community Legal Centre as well as various sporting groups and was a former legal advisor and Board Member of the Kutta Mulla Gorrina Indigenous Learning School in Mackay.
Chris enjoys sharing his experiences in family law by mentoring and assisting younger practitioners.
Outside of law, Chris enjoys running, going to the gym and watching his adult children play hockey.
