Cailey Brazel is a Junior Solicitor at Barton Family Lawyers. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Cailey has worked exclusively in family law since 2022. Before specialising in family law, Cailey gained valuable experience in public and private practice, including civil and commercial litigation. Her broad skills and experience combined with her analytical capability make her a fabulous family solicitor.
Cailey is committed to supporting clients through separation and making a positive difference in the lives of clients and their families. She understands that separation can be difficult to navigate and believes many matters are best resolved outside the courtroom. Cailey works hard to achieve early, practical and cost-effective outcomes through negotiation and mediation, helping to minimise the impact of legal proceedings on families and children.
Cailey is passionate about improving access to legal advice and services within her local community. Since 2020, she has volunteered with a local Community Legal Service, gaining well-rounded experience in family law, domestic violence, criminal law and civil law in a public practice setting. Through her involvement in Community Legal Service initiatives and Community Legal Education programs, Cailey has strengthened her commitment to community-focused legal practice and access to justice.
Cailey’s legal knowledge and expertise are further complimented by her Bachelor of Business (majoring in Public Relations) from Queensland University of Technology. Her additional qualification strengthens her engagement and communication skills, both inside and outside the courtroom. She also understands the importance of conveying complex legal advice and information clearly and concisely, taking into account client’s diverse backgrounds and the emotional toll of separation.
Without fail, Cailey spends her weekends out in the sun and trying new hobbies with her husband and toddler.
