Charlize Carew – Legal Assistant

Charlize is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Queensland University of Technology, and hopes to complete her studies in 2028. After completing university, Charlize hopes to pursue her legal career, eventually becoming a practicing solicitor.
Charlize found her passion for law after studying Legal Studies throughout high school. Family law has always been an area of law she has been interested in, and aims to be able to practice in this area in the future.
Charlize has first-hand experience understanding the impact Domestic Violence and Divorce can have on people’s lives, and aims to make client’s interactions with herself and Barton Family Lawyers as positive and helpful as they can be given the circumstances.
Charlize values open communication, reliability, and honesty, and this is reflected in the way she interacts with clients and in the work she produces.
Outside of work, Charlize enjoys going to the gym, walking her dogs, watching true crime documentaries, and going to the beach.
